All American Heart Association Courses taught at Imperial Ambulance are limited to 8 persons per class.

Courses offered:
BLS Provider Course
(BLS for HCP) This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device and oxygen), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO). It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients’ in-hospital and out of hospital settings. These healthcare providers may include (but are not limited to) physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapist, physical and occupational therapists, physician’s assistants, residents or fellows or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, and other allied health personnel. The course is also designed for anyone who is required to take a healthcare provider course for employment. Proficiency in the skills of this course is a prerequisite for AHA advanced courses in resuscitation, including advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and BLS instructor courses. This course normally takes four hours.


ACLS Provider Course
The course is designed for medical, nursing, and other allied health personnel whose profession demands proficiency in the knowledge and skills of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). This course consists of didactic, practice sessions, and performance testing. ACLS course completion and continuing education will be awarded to all participants meeting course requirements.
PALS Provider Course
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course is designed for medical professionals who need advanced training in the treatment of critically ill infants and children. This course consists of lectures, workshops and evaluations. Course completion adheres to the guidelines of the AHA. PALS course completion and continuing education will be awarded only after successful completion of both the written and skills evaluation stations.


Heart-Saver First Aid with CPR/AED
This course is designed to teach rescuers the knowledge and psychomotor skills they need to recognized emergencies at the worksite and give first aid. Some rescuers are required to take this course as part of their employer’s effort to comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations. For others whose work may involve interaction with the public, such as scout leaders, law enforcement officers, firefighters, flight attendants and lifeguards, taking this course may be a requirement of their job description. This can be taught in three modules which can take from 4 to 8 hours to instruct.
Imperial Ambulance offers skills testing for all the above online classes including NRP.
We can conduct NSC OSHA required courses for industrial sites.
All courses may be taught at the Imperial Ambulance Office facilities or taken to your home or work location.
We will come to your office/business with 4 students or more.
